Library Spotlights: Celebrating Themes & Collections

Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental Health Awareness Month, observed every May, aims to raise awareness about mental health issues, reduce stigma, and promote education and support. It encourages open conversations about mental well-being and highlights the challenges faced by those with mental health conditions. This month also focuses on advocating for better mental health resources and emphasizing the importance of seeking help. It brings attention to mental health disparities, particularly in marginalized communities. Through campaigns and events, it educates the public on the widespread impact of mental health conditions. The goal is to create a more supportive environment and prioritize mental health alongside physical health.

The Moreno Valley College Library supports all students, staff and faculty on their mental health journeys!
