How to Access NetTutor

  1. Log into your Canvas account
  2. Click on your course.
  3. Click on the "Online Tutoring" link in your class.
  4. Click the "NetTutor" link (you must allow pop-ups).
  5. Join a Live Tutorial, submit a question to the Q&A Center, or submit a paper to the Paper Center and get help quickly and easily

Subjects

NetTutor offers tutoring assistance in a variety of subjects from accounting and arts to social sciences and foreign languages. Some subjects are available on a limited schedule, so plan ahead and view the complete schedule of subjects on the NetTutor website.

Student Responsibility

Come prepared with your textbook, class notes, and any work you have started. The tutors will not give answers or confirm answers; they will help guide you along in the process. When submitting papers for review, remember to double space and use a readable font (like Times New Roman or Calibri). Additionally, remember to use your own words and cite outside sources.

What is a Live Tutorial?

A Live Tutorial is a one-on-one conversation between you and your tutor on the WorldWideWhiteboard®.

What if I don't have time to chat with a tutor?

The Q&A Center allows you to ask a question offline, which a tutor will respond to within 24-48 hours. When feedback has been prepared, you will receive an email notifying you that your question is ready. After you receive feedback, you can ask a follow-up question or join a Live Tutorial.

How do I submit my paper?

Once you have logged into NetTutor, you can click "Paper Center." Then, click the "Submit my paper" button. From there, you can answer a few questions about your assignment to help the tutor assist you in the best way possible. Next, browse to your paper's location on your computer, and click "Upload." You will receive a confirmation number to show you that your paper has successfully uploaded. Then, once a tutor has reviewed your paper, you will receive an email. Log back into the Paper Center, and view, print, or save your reviewed paper.
