Millions of Americans have mental and substance use disorders. Find treatment here.

Welcome to FindTreatment.gov, the confidential and anonymous resource for persons seeking treatment for mental and substance use disorders in the United States and its territories.

How to start a search:

Initial Search from the Home Page

  • Enter a location in the search bar. Enter as much information as possible about the location you want to use as the center of your search (facility name, street, city, state, zip code, etc.).

    • For addresses, enter the physical street address, not a Post Office Box number or Rural Route number.
    • Do not enter apartment or unit numbers as a part of the address; only the street address is needed.
    • As you type in the search box, the tool will give you a list of location suggestions based on what you have typed. When you see a correct match, you can click on it to complete the entry.
  • When you are ready, press the Search button.

  • The site will take you to the Search For Treatment page, where a list of facilities and a map with dots showing the location of facilities will appear.
