Purpose of the Guide

The purpose of this guide is to assist students who are taking the Public Speaking class (COM 1) and the Argumentation and Debate class (COM 3) in conducting research that will help them to prepare for their speeches.  The purpose also is to help them make better presentations by providing access to renowned speeches as examples, access to presentation of speeches in either a persuasive, informative, argumentative format and access to debates.

This guide is primarily geared to the online or hybrid class students as the majority of sources are e-books and online sources.  Some print material is also presented.
